China Maldivian Cultural Association website

The website for the China-Maldivian Cultural Association, an NGO that runs youth and cultural exchange programmes between China and the Maldives. Mifu directed the design, Abeer built the UI, and I handled the rest.

Laravel on the backend, Vue.js on the front, open-source throughout. The part that took the work is the CMS behind it: a block editor, so the association can build a page out of components instead of filing a change request every time a programme changes.

That was deliberate. An NGO with no in-house developer either gets an editor its staff can actually use, or the site freezes on the day it launches. The CMS is also the start of a wider platform for managing the organisation's assets, so the content model was built to extend rather than to serve this one site.
