AO News — Imraan

I built a custom WordPress theme for AO News — formerly adduonline — working from the design that was handed over, then adapting as the requirements moved during the project.

Most of the work was fitting the theme to how AO News actually publishes: their content structure, their article types, and a layout that holds up on a phone as well as a newsroom desktop. The theme shipped with customisation options so the team could adjust it themselves rather than coming back to me for every change.

This was the first thing I built for a paying client, during high school. It is still the project that taught me the most about the gap between a design file and a site someone has to run every day.
